MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Three members of the Wesleyan women's lacrosse team were named All-Americans by USA Lacrosse Magazine, as announced on Wednesday afternoon. Representing the Cardinals on the list is First Team selections
Izzy Weintraub '26 and
Lindsey Diomede '26 while
Dylan Green '26 is a Third Team pick.
Weintraub is a two-time USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American, earning Second Team honors in 2025 while she was also an Honorable Mention pick as a sophomore in 2024. Making the First Team for the first time, Weintraub has been sensational all year, ranking seventh nationally with a 5.97 goals against average while her .507 save percentage is 12
th-best among Division III goalkeepers. The senior stalwart has three games with double-digit save totals while she was at her best in two wins over Williams, matching her career-high with 12 saves against just three goals allowed on April 18 while she posted 10 saves with three goals allowed to the Ephs in the NESCAC Quarterfinal round on April 25.
Diomede, the 2026 NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year, has already rewritten the record books with single-season team records in caused turnovers (66) and ground balls (59) while she's added 51 draw controls (second-most on the team) and 14 points on eight goals and six assists. Diomede leads the NESCAC and ranks 10
th nationally in caused turnovers per game (3.47) while she also leads the NESCAC in ground balls per game (3.11). She has nine games this season with at least four caused turnovers while she has at least three ground balls in 13-of-19 games this year.
Green has played a more prominent role on offense this year at the midfield position, posting 46 points on 29 goals and 17 assists in 18 appearances. Her 29 goals are third-most on the team while she leads the Cardinals in assists this year. Green has at least one point in 17-of-18 appearances while she has eight multi-goal games including a career-high five goals against Williams on April 25 while she recorded a career-high seven points (four goals, three assists) in a road win over Stevens on March 11.
Wesleyan (16-3) is back in action on Saturday in the Third Round of the NCAA Tournament. The Cardinals play host to No. 21 UChicago on Saturday at 11:30 AM on Smith Field with the winner advancing to the NCAA Quarterfinal round on Sunday at 2 PM.
