Seven Cardinals Named IWLCA All-Region

Wesleyan has at least six All-Region selections for the eighth straight season

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Seven members of the Wesleyan women's lacrosse team were honored by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) today when the organization announced its 2026 Division III All-Region Teams. Highlighting the list are Berkshire Region First Team selections Addie Cummings '26, Lindsey Diomede '26, Bridget Horst '26, Molly Simon '26, Lilly Stoller '26, Izzy Weintraub '26 as well as Second Team pick Dylan Green '26.

This marks the third career All-Region First Team selection for Weintraub while Green and Simon make an All-Region Team for the second straight season. For Cummings, Diomede, Horst, and Stoller, this is the first time they've been chosen All-Region. Wesleyan has seen at least six named All-Region for eight straight seasons dating back to 2018. Weintraub is a three-time All-Region pick and will go down as one of the most-decorated Cardinals in program history. Now in her third season as the full-time starting goalkeeper for the Cardinals, Weintraub is enjoying a career year, posting a 5.97 goals against average with 109 saves and a .507 save percentage. She has started 60 consecutive games for Wesleyan and recently recorded her 400th career save. Weintraub has three games with 10+ saves this year, matching her career-high with 12 stops in a 11-3 win over Williams on April 18.

Simon is a two-time All-Region selection, earning First Team honors for the first time while ranking second on the team with 29 caused turnovers to go along with 27 ground balls. Simon has started 60 consecutive games heading into the weekend while she's been a constant presence on the defensive end for the Cardinals who rank second in the NESCAC allowing just 5.99 goals per game this season.

Diomede earns All-Region honors for the first time while breaking out in 2026 for one of the most-impressive single-seasons posted by a Cardinal in team history. Diomede has shattered the single-season team records in both caused turnovers (66) and ground balls (59) this year while adding 51 draw controls and 14 points (eight goals, six assists). The previous single-season team record for caused turnovers was 38 as she has at least one caused turnover in all 19 games this season.

Cummings has taken her game to another level this season, earning All-Region honors for the first time while leading the team in both goals (40) and points (56) this season. Cummings has 11 multi-goal games in 2026 while she exploded for nine points (six goals, three assists) in a 17-10 win over MIT on March 29. After recording one point in 11 games over her first two years at Wesleyan, Cummings has 94 points in 39 games the past two years.

Horst's all-around ability is on full display this year as the senior midfielder is an All-Region pick for the first time. She has career-high numbers nearly across the board with 16 goals and nine assists for 25 points to go along with 23 ground balls and 23 caused turnovers while adding 39 draw controls. The program's all-time leader in draw controls (248) has at least one point in 17-of-19 games played this year.

Another three-year starter on defense for the Cardinals, Stoller makes All-Region for the first time playing in the backer role in Wesleyan's prominent defense all three years. Stoller has 27 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers this year while she became the first Cardinal defender to score a goal since the 2018 season.

Green is a two-time All-Region selection, making the Second Team in 2026 with a 46-point season heading into the weekend. Green has 29 goals and a team-leading 17 assists to go along with 20 ground balls in 18 games played. She reached the 100-point milestone earlier this year and has at least one point in 17-of-18 games played including a career-high seven-point game (four goals, three assists) against Stevens on March 11.

Wesleyan (16-3) is back in action on Saturday with a NCAA Third Round contest against No. 21 UChicago at 11:30 AM on Smith Field.
