BRUNSWICK, ME. - Breaking free of midweek conference loss, the No. 6 Wesleyan women's soccer team rebounded with four goals against Bowdoin College on Saturday afternoon in a 4-0 shutout led by Romi Shreiber '28 from Bowdoin's Pickard Field.
Marking the fifth game with four or more goals, the Cardinals knocked three behind Bears' goalkeeper Natalie Cooke.
Taylor Hill's '27 opening goal began with a throw in from the near line, Schreiber crossing the ball through the box for Hill sitting center in front of Cooke on the goal line.

th minute,
Maria Utz '27 struck unassisted to boost the Cardinals to a two-goal lead while pressing down the middle. As the half loomed near,
Meredith Feiner '28 knocked a third ball over the line after it journeyed from
Sheridan Snow '28 at midfield to Gabby Freeman '28 on the left-hand side. Cooke was too far out to stop Feiner's reach.
With the second half underway as the Cardinals and Bears were matching shot for shot, Schreiber scored with a ball into the high left corner. Hill drove the ball down the right side, passing inside for a game of keep away before Schreiber was able to make contact.
Making her first start in goal,
Maggie di Rienzo '29 finished the afternoon with nine saves in goal for the Cardinals. Cooke completed four saves for the Bears.
The Cardinals return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 22, when they face Springfield on the road at 6 p.m.
