Taylor Hill's '27 tiebreaker in the 85th minute from Clark's Granger Soccer Field.Â
Building on the momentum of Saturday's season opener victory over Middlebury, the Cardinals cleared a 3-0 lead in the first half.
Beatrix Delaney '27 opened the scoring in the 11th minute, finishing off an assist from
Juliette Sullivan '27.
Maria Utz '27 advanced the lead in the 35th minute with help from
Harper Cohn '30 before Hyon found the back of the net unassisted just before the break.
The Cougars responded with seething second-half rally, scoring three times to cut the deficit to one goal. The Cardinals, however, refused to let the momentum slip away.
Taylor Hill delivered the tiebreaker, scoring in the 86th minute with an assist from Hyon to pull the Cardinals ahead.

Maggie di Rienzo '28 split time in goal, combining for three saves as the Cardinals outshot the Cougars 19-12. Cougars' goalkeepers Ava Lepro and Gabrielle Huryn finished with five saves.
The Cardinals return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Smith College with kickoff at 5 p.m.
