Biography

Mason von Jess is from Lakeville, Connecticut and attended The Hotchkiss School prior to his time at Wesleyan.  At Hotchkiss, Mason was a tri-varsity athlete playing football, hockey, and lacrosse.  He earned the James T. Bryan ’11 Athletic Award as the Senior boy who contributed most to the school’s athletic program.  In his FY season, Mason received Second Team All-NESCAC honors after being named Special Teams Player of the Week twice and leading the league in points.  Mason was named to the 2021 CoSIDA Academic District 2 First Team.  He is a Economics and Psychology double major with an interest in behavioral economics.  Mason values his teammates and coaches most at Wesleyan and has been a member of the Men’s Lacrosse team and DEI committee as well.  Mason missed the entire 2021 season due to injury and is excited to contribute to the team’s pursuit of a NESCAC championship in his Senior campaign.
