Daniel Yoon is from Mill Creek, Washington and attended Henry M. Jackson High School before coming to Wesleyan University. Prior to entering the collegiate level, Daniel was recognized as an All-Area and All Conference performer. He received multiple honors, including the Football Officials Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete Award and the Everett School District Scholar-Athlete Award. According to 247sports.com, he was ranked as the first best kicking prospect in Washington and the 13th best kicker in the country. Beginning his football career at Wesleyan, Yoon added a viral touch to the 2021 Wesleyan football team by kicking field goals, kickoffs, and punts. His accomplishments continued to be recognized, as Daniel received All-Conference honors as a kicker for his first season at Wesleyan, as well as two-time Player of the Week honors against Bates and Bowdoin. Additionally, Daniel was on the NESCAC All-Academic Team and Dean's List. Moreover, Daniel received the Arthur Ashe Award for excellence in the classroom and on the athletic field. Daniel describes his experience so far at Wesleyan as one of a kind, stating, "Having the opportunity to be part of such an historic program has been an honor for me. The Wesleyan Football Program has given me a tremendous opportunity to push myself to become the best football player that I can be."
