Noah Tyson

Noah Tyson enters his second season an assistant for the men’s basketball program. In his first season on staff, Tyson played an integral role in the Cardinals’ success, contributing to all aspects of the program’s operations. His responsibilities included opponent scouting, game planning, and film breakdown. Tyson assisted within player development as well that saw the team produce three All-Conference selections, two All-Region honorees, and one All-American, marking one of the most accomplished seasons in program history
 
Prior to joining the Cardinals, Tyson spent the 2023-24 season serving as an assistant coach at Johns Hopkins University where he helped lead the Blue Jays to a 20-7 overall record and an appearance in the Centennial Conference championship game. He assisted in the development of the Region V and Centennial Conference ROY, Centennial Defensive Player of the Year, and a First Team All-Conference selection. 
 
Tyson is no stranger to the NESCAC as graduated from Colby College in 2023. A starter in all 107 games played at Colby, the 2018-19 NESCAC Rookie of the Year helped guide the Mules to two conference championship game appearances and played a critical role in the team achieving its highest national ranking in program history. A two-year captain, Tyson scored 1,222 career points, graduating second all-time in career made three-point field goals with 251 while he led the Mules in rebounds each of his four years.
 
Coach Reilly notes, “We are thrilled to have Noah join our staff. He will add a unique and valuable perspective for our student-athletes as he is one of the best players to play in the NESCAC is recent years. It is clear that his future is very bright in the coaching profession – Wesleyan is fortunate to have him in our athletic department."
 
A native of Castleton, Vermont, Tyson currently resides in Middletown.
