While a student at Wesleyan, Mike contributed to the squash and baseball teams, serving as a captain for the top-20 ranked men’s squash team and winning two NESCAC Championships with the baseball team. He played on some of the strongest squash teams in the history of Wesleyan’s squash program. The teams beat rivals Amherst and Brown for the first time in decades, finished at an all-time high of fifth place at the NESCAC Championships, and reached a national ranking of 16th.

Individually, Mike earned NESCAC Player of the Week, All-Academic, and All-Sportsmanship honors while contributing primarily at the #3 position for Wesleyan's squash team. Mike is credited with a strong record in 5-game matches, winning nine consecutively spanning from his sophomore to his senior seasons. He overcame an 8-2 deficit in the fifth game against Bowdoin his senior year with the team score tied 4-4, and he overcame a fifth game deficit of 10-3 against Amherst his sophomore year with the team score tied 3-3.

Mike’s previous coaching experience includes assisting Shona Kerr and former world #20 Shahier Razik at World Class Squash Camps in Middletown, CT, assisting former world #1 Peter Nicol at Nicol Champion’s Academy in Lakeville, CT, and privately coaching a number of local high school players.
