Jen Holland serves as the Assistant Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach at Wesleyan University, where she is committed to developing student-athletes both competitively and personally within one of the nation’s premier liberal arts environments. Competing in the highly respected New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), she plays an integral role in all aspects of the program, including player development, recruiting, practice planning, and tournament preparation.
A highly accomplished and competitive player in her own right, Jen brings elite-level experience to the program as a former Connecticut State Amateur Champion, Connecticut Women's Golf Association Champion, and Southern New England Women's Golf Association Champion. She has also competed in events conducted by the United States Golf Association (USGA), Mid-Am (making rd of 32) and Senior Am (making rd of 32) demonstrating her ability to perform at the highest levels of amateur golf. Known for her competitive edge and all-around game, she models the discipline, preparation, and mindset she instills in her student-athletes.
In addition to her golf background, Jen is a collegiate official in both lacrosse and field hockey, bringing a unique multi-sport perspective and deep understanding of game management, rules, and competitive environments. Her experience as an official enhances her ability to teach composure, decision-making, and performance under pressure.
She recently retired following a 40-year career in public education, where she developed a deep commitment to mentorship, leadership, and student development—qualities that continue to shape her coaching philosophy.
A passionate advocate for the student-athlete experience, Jen emphasizes a holistic approach to coaching—fostering growth in skill development, mental performance, academic success, and leadership. She is dedicated to building a competitive and supportive team culture that aligns with Wesleyan’s values of excellence, integrity, and inclusion.
