Maile Mora joined the Wesleyan University Swimming & Diving staff as an Assistant Coach in the Summer of 2026.
Mora comes to Wesleyan after spending six years with the Wagner College swimming & diving program. A four-year student-athlete for the Seahawks, Mora was a three-time Northeast Conference (NEC) champion, capturing conference titles in the 200-yard individual medley and 400-yard individual medley as a sophomore before winning a second 400-yard individual medley championship as a senior.
Following a successful collegiate career, Mora remained at Wagner for two seasons as the program's Graduate Assistant Swimming & Diving Coach. In that role, Mora assisted with practice planning, technical instruction, recruiting, meet operations, and the day-to-day responsibilities of a Division I program.
Over the past six years, Mora coached age-group and summer league swimmers while also serving as a beach lifeguard and swim instructor in New Jersey. Through these experiences, Mora developed a passion for working with young athletes, helping children learn to swim and gain confidence in the water, and inspiring a lifelong love of the sport through coaching.
Mora earned both a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Wagner College.
Mora is passionate about developing well-rounded student-athletes and is committed to helping swimmers reach their full potential both in and out of the pool while fostering a culture built on hard work, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
