Sean Ferris brings over 12 years of coaching experience to the Wesleyan diving program. Before joining Wesleyan, he built a strong coaching foundation at multiple high schools and a competitive club team in the Connecticut area, helping athletes achieve their full potential and excel in the sport. In his first year as the diving coach at Wesleyan, Sean had an impressive debut with two divers finishing in the Top 20 at the NESCAC Championships.
A true enthusiast of the sport, Sean’s passion for diving goes beyond the pool. He is deeply committed to mentoring athletes, not only developing their technical skills but also fostering personal growth and resilience. "We are meant to guide them," Sean explains, "and also allow them to escape the stress of being a college student. Being a diver at Wesleyan means you are devoting excellence on the boards, just as you would in the classroom."
Entering his second season at Wesleyan in 2025-26, Sean continues to inspire and push his divers toward their personal and athletic best, instilling the same dedication and discipline that has defined his coaching career.
