Wesleyan Falls to Connecticut College, 3-0

NEW LONDON, Conn. - The Wesleyan University women's ice hockey team fell to Connecticut College, 3-0 on Saturday at Dayton Arena.

With the loss, the Cardinals fall to 3-9 overall and 1-5 in the NESCAC. The Camels improve to 7-5-1 overall and 4-3-1 in league play.

Ashley Anctil scored twice for Connecticut College, once in the first period at 10:35 and again in the third period, just 16 seconds into play. Her goals were assisted by Lili Connolly and Michaela Igo, respectively.  

Jordan Cross tallied the third Camel goal on a power play at 17:10. The goal was assisted by Stephanie Izzi.

Wesleyan senior goaltender Corinne Rivard made 34 saves in net.

The Cardinals will be back on the ice Tuesday to face Sacred Heart in an away contest scheduled for 7 p.m.
