BRUNSWICK, Maine - Senior goaltender Corinne Rivard stopped all 36 shots she faced, as the Wesleyan University women's ice hockey team skated to a 0-0 tie against Bowdoin University on Friday night at Watson Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Rivard and Sophia Lattanzi played spectacular between the pipes for their respective teams, combining for 64 saves in the game. Lattanzi had 28 saves in the game for the Polar Bears.
- Both teams went 0-1 on the power play, with the Cardinals killing off a Bowdoin power play with just over two minutes remaining in the third period to help force OT.
- Wesleyan outshot the Polar Bears 13-5 in the first period, but Bowdoin would end the game with a 36-28 advantage in shots, including a 5-0 shot advantage in the extra frame.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Ellery Sarosi '17 collected a breakout pass behind the Bowdoin defense and skated into a one-on-one against Lattanzio with 5:30 remaining in the first. The junior pushed her shot wide right of the goal, leaving the game tied at 0-0.
- Julie Dachille and Ariana Bourque combined for numerous breakaway opportunities, with their best look coming just outside the three minute mark of the second. Dachille skated down the right boards and drew Rivard to the near side, feeding Bourque on the opposite post for a one-timer.
- Sarosi again provided the Cardinals with a pair of promising looks, putting two quick shots on goal during Wesleyan's lone power play opportunity in the third period.
- In the overtime period, Bourque skated down the left and fed Dachille on the right post for an overtime look with two minutes off the clock.
UP NEXT
- The two teams are right back at it tomorrow afternoon, Jan. 30. The puck is scheduled to drop at 3 p.m.
