The Lead: The Wesleyan University women's ice hockey team got out to a quick 1-0 lead, but fell to Division I Sacred Heart University 5-1 on Friday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Cardinals got on the board just 15 seconds into the game on a goal by Rachel Aronow '17.
- The Pioneers would respond, scoring two goals in the second and three in the third.
- Taylor Moreland scored at 4:40 into the second to tie the game at 1-1.
- SHU would take the 2-1 lead at 10:36 on a Carly Radovich goal.
- Megan Finlay, Moreland and Lilly Cleary would complete the scoring for the Pioneers who would claim the 5-1 victory.
UP NEXT:
- The teams will complete their home-and-home series with a 3 p.m. contest on Saturday, November 19th at Spurrier-Snyder Rink.
