MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - The 28th-ranked Wesleyan men's squash team hosted No. 25 Bates, No. 32 Hobart, and No. 47 Vassar in round robin play on Saturday as the Cardinals fell to Bates 8-1 and defeated both Hobart (8-0) and Vassar (8-1).
"This was a wonderful day of squash that offered fantastic opportunities for every member of the men's and women's teams to compete," said Head Coach Shona Kerr.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS VS BATES:
- No. 1 Sean Choi defeated Graham Bonnell by scores of 9-11, 12-10, 11-8, 11-9.
- No. 3 Shanay Sanghavi narrowly lost to Mahmoud Yousry by scores of 7-11, 11-3, 11-3, 10-12, 11-9.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS VS HOBART:
- No. 2 John Sutherby took down Cameron Temoyan in a match that included a 34-point game by scores of 18-16, 11-2, 8-11, 11-6.
- No. 4 William Bienstock swept Parkman Levis by scores of 12-10, 11-4, 11-6.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS VS VASSAR:
- Eight Cardinals swept their opponent as Wesleyan cruised to victory.
