MIDDLETOWN, Conn.— In their first NESCAC match of the season, Wesleyan's men were strong from start to finish in an 8-1 win over Connecticut College on a chilly Thursday afternoon. Wins came from both familiar faces and some newer players and pairings, with the Cardinals showcasing their depth in both singles and doubles.

Lieb and sophomore Ali Mooraj both faced some resistance at various parts of their matches, but both weathered the storm well for straight set wins at #3 and #4, respectively.
-
At #6, junior Jon Holtzman was also a straight sets winner, while at #5 sophomore Zach Fleischman was leading 4-2 in the first set when his opponent retired with an injury.
