Milan Yorke ’25 Qualfies for NESCAC Championship, Women’s Golf Places 7th at NESCAC Fall Qualifier

Yorke is the first Cardinal that will ever compete in the NESCAC Championship

SCARBOROUGH, Me. – The Wesleyan women's golf team placed seventh of eight teams at the NESCAC Fall Qualifier while Milan Yorke '25 made history, finishing with a 78 in round 2 to earn the fourth and final qualifying spot as she will play in the NESCAC Championship in the spring as an individual, marking the first Cardinal to ever compete in the conference title weekend.

Amherst took first place for the weekend, posting a 580 (291-289) to top the field of eight teams. Middlebury, Williams and Hamilton all qualified for the NESCAC Championship while three individuals from Bates will join Yorke at the conference championship weekend in the spring.

Yorke made history with her two-day total of 159 (81-78), finishing first on the team and tied for 23rd overall. Her 78 in round 2 earned her the spot at the NESCAC Championship as her two-day total tied with Abbie Kaestle of Bowdoin but Yorke won the tiebreaker as her 78 on Day 2 was four better than Kaestle's 82.

Danielle Landis '25 started strong with a team-leading 79 in round one and she followed with an 84 on Day 2 to finish second on the team with a 163. Jacqueline Neishabouri '25 was consistent with a 83-84-167 for the weekend to finish third on the team. Maggie Monaghan '24 (95-86-181) improved nine shots in Day 2 from round one while Lily Goldfine '25 (95-87-182) improved eight shots between rounds.
