Luke LaSaracina’s Five-RBI Day Leads Baseball Past Trinity, 14-4

MIDDLETOWN,CT- Luke LaSaracina '25 put together a five-RBI performance to help Wesleyan baseball past Trinity Tuesday afternoon, 14-4. Wesleyan is coming off a huge weekend in which they secured their 29th Little 3 title with a series win over Williams. The Cardinals continued their stellar play moving into Tuesday's game against the Bantams. The two teams traded runs in the first two innings to keep the game tied at one going into the 4th. Wesleyan scored two runs in the fourth, followed by a seven-run offensive explosion in the 5th to open the game up at 10-2. The Cardinals' offense would add four more insurance runs in the 7th to seal the deal, giving Wesleyan a 14-4 victory. Wesleyan improves to 13-9, while Trinity drops to 10-9 in one of the NESCAC's more evenly matched rivalries (WES leads series 130-121-4).
