WILLIAMSTOWN, MA- Softball was defeated by Williams in game one of their doubleheader Friday afternoon, 3-2. The teams began game two, but the game was suspended in the top of the 6
th due to darkness, with the score 6-3 in favor of the Ephs. In game one, Wesleyan got on the board early, scoring a first inning run to take a 1-0 lead. Williams responded with two of their own in the 3
rd to take their first lead of the contest. Wesleyan then tied it in the 5
th, before Williams was able to walk it off in the bottom of the 7
th to take game one. Wesleyan drops to 8-10 (1-1 NESCAC), while Williams improves to 13-9 (2-2 NESCAC).

HIGHLIGHTS:
- Wesleyan was first on the board Friday afternoon, scoring in the first inning to take an early lead. After loading the bases on a pair of walks and a single, Alexis Campbell '22 drew a walk to give the Cards the lead 1-0
- Williams finally got to Wesleyan pitching in the 3rd, taking the lead back at 2-1. The Ephs scored those two runs on two hits and a Cardinals error
- Wesleyan was able to knot the game back up at two in the 5th, thanks to two hits in the inning. Courtney Collins-Pisano '22 led off the inning with a single, which was followed a few batters later by a Isabella Secaira-Cotto '25 RBI double to left center
- After a scoreless 6th inning, Williams came through in their final at-bats of the game. The Ephs were able to capitalize on a Wesleyan fielding error to seal the deal in walk-off fashion
