That 121-point season carried him to NESCAC Player of the Year and Third Team All-American honors. His 186 career goals is still a program record while he was named All-NESCAC and All-ECAC throughout a prolific scoring career that saw him put up 306 points (186 goals, 120 assists) in 67 career games. The campaign started with an eight-match unbeaten streak (7-0-1) while the Cardinals defeated Amherst 3-2 in double overtime and Williams 1-0 to cap the regular season and secure the Little Three Championship. In the ECAC New England Tournament, Wesleyan played host and defeated Middlebury and Fitchburg State before the title match where the Cardinals dispatched longtime rival Williams for the second time that season. Despite securing the ECAC crown and the No. 1 ranking in New England (7th nationally), Wesleyan was not eligible to compete in the NCAA Tournament at the time due to NESCAC rules. Even still, Wesleyan's 1991 season finished on an eight-game win streak while the Cardinals were undefeated at home (10-0-1).
