MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan men's track & field team was led by their middle-distance contingent at a home indoor invite on Saturday from the Bacon Field House.
Even with a limited squad competing, the Cardinals saw
Simon Chidley '25 post a runner-up finish in the 800m, as he clocked in with a personal-best 2:04.23.
Liam Scully '26 ran the event in 2:06.18 to take fourth place out of 17 runners.
Racing in the 1000m,
Rob D'Aquila '26 impressed with a time of 2:39.24 that took second place out of 13 competitors. Wesleyan fielded three Top 5 finishers in the one mile, with
Tony Patrinos '24 leading the way, finishing third out of 21 with a time of 4:38.43.
Owen Zinn-Keane '26 finished fourth overall with a time of 4:46.44 while
Ben Taffet '26 was fifth, crossing the line in 4:49.25.
Wesleyan is back in action on Sunday as another group of Cardinals travels to the Track at New Balance in Boston for Middlebury's New England Small College Invitational set to begin at 9 AM.
