BOSTON, Mass. – Competing in the prestigious Track at New Balance in Boston, the Wesleyan men's track & field team rose to the occasion and had personal-bests up and down the lineup on Sunday at Middlebury's New England Small College Invitational.
All three 800m runners for Wesleyan on Sunday finished with new personal-best times while
George Lepska '25 was the top finisher, placing eighth with a time of 1:55.42.
Alex Geula '25 (1:59.77) and
Luke Consolati '25 (2:00.43) also landed their fastest career times in the 800m.
Kyle Roshankish '24 finished the day with a pair of personal-bests in the sprint competitions. The junior landed a Top 10 finish in the 200m, finishing 10
th out of 51, with a career-best time of 22.66 seconds. He followed that up with a time of 51.79 seconds, also a career-high, to finish in 20
th place in the 400m.
Another Top 10 finisher for the Cardinals came in the one mile as
Liam Calhoun '26 placed ninth overall and second-fastest among freshmen in the field, as he crossed the line in 4:18.49.
More PR's and strong finishes came in the 3000m as
Owen Rogers '24 found himself in ninth place with a career-best time of 8:35.47 while
Nate Fogarty '25 was right behind in 11
th place out of 47 with a mark of 8:41.83.
Aidan Ward '24 also posted a personal-best at 8:52.27, placing 19
th.
Javier Orellana '25 impressed in the shot put, taking seventh place out of 28 with a mark of 13.34m.
Next up for the Cardinals is the Tufts Cupid Invite on Saturday, starting at 10:00 AM.
