MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The No. 18 ranked Wesleyan men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to No. 21 Amherst on Sunday from the John Wood Memorial Tennis Courts. Wesleyan (7-8, 3-6 NESCAC) falls for the fifth time in the last six matches while the Mammoths (10-4, 5-3 NESCAC) improve to 6-0 on the road this season.
Amherst took a commanding 3-0 lead in the doubles portion and clinched the match with one-sided wins at #4 and #6 singles. The Cardinals saw wins come from
JT Bilski '26 at #2 singles, as the first-year defeated Kobe Ellenborgen 6-2, 6-2, while
Harry Collomb '26 took down Marshall Leung 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 in three sets at #3.
Chase Kasday '26 won the opening set at #5 against George Chaidemenos 6-1 but fell in the final two sets 6-2, 6-2.
Wesleyan heads on the road to face Tufts in the regular season finale on Saturday, April 22 at 2 PM.
