Women’s Squash Clears NYU in All-Around Sweep

MIDDLETOWN, CT. – Remaining undefeated at 4-0 on the season, the Wesleyan women's squash team served an all-around sweep to New York University, 9-0, as every player on the court won their match 3-0 from the Rosenbaum Squash Center.

RESULTS

The Cardinals made very quick work of the Violets on Sunday afternoon, earning the benefit of default wins at #7, #8, and #9. Five of the matches were 12 minutes or less with Avika Pande '26 going only 18 minutes at #1 as the longest match of the afternoon.

Pande defeated Maxine Von Der Heyden 3-0, with game wins at 11-8, 11-4, 11-6.

Sydney Smith '25 took all of nine minutes to beat Nicole Kwan at #5, clearing her match with 11-3, 11-1, 11-2 game wins. Caroline Caiati '28 at #6 was able to sweep Yifei Wang 11-0, 11-1, 11-1 with her own nine-minute match.

The Cardinals return to action on Wedneday, Dec. 4, when they host Conn. College at 6 p.m.
