Game Recap: Men's Ice Hockey |

Men’s hockey falls to No. 6 Trinity in final home game, 1-0

MIDDLETOWN, CT. – The Wesleyan men's hockey team took No. 6 Trinity down to the wire before a late goal propelled Trinity over Wesleyan, 1-0, in NESCAC action on Friday evening in their final home game of the season at Spurrier-Snyder Arena.

It was a night for the Cardinals (5-17-1 overall, 3-13-1 NESCAC) defense as they held the nationally ranked Bantams (19-3-1 overall, 15-1-1 NESCAC) scoreless for just over 54 minutes. Cardinals goaltender Erik Voloshin '24 held down the final line with 40 saves against the Bantams.

A late goal with 5:44 remaining in regulation pushed the Bantams to their 19th win of the season as Joseph Harney's one-timer from the blueline bounced behind Voloshin, deflecting against the left pipe.

Jack Bosco'26 led all Cardinals with three shots on goal as Mike Fritz '27 and Connor Sutherland '27 came away with two blocks apiece. From the faceoff, DJ Dixon '24 finished with 13 draw wins.

Devon Bobak finished the evening with 17 saves for the Bantams.

The Cardinals will face the Bantams again on Saturday, Feb. 17, when they travel to Trinity for their final regular season game with puck drop at 4 p.m.
