BOSTON, MA. – The Wesleyan women's track and field distance medley relay team took a team-high third place finish on Sunday afternoon at the New England Division III Championships at The Track at New Balance as Wesleyan tied for 21
st place out of a field of 27 collegiate institutions.
RESULTS
The Cardinals finished the afternoon with four Top 20 placements and four Top 10 finishes to close out the weekend.
Finishing third with the team's highest placement of the day, the distance medley relay team of
Alexandra Simon '27,
Sophia Mack '26,
Jordan Walter '25, and
Elanora Smith '27 crossed the line at a combined 12:27.88.
Stephanie Ager '26 had the highest individual placement for the Cardinals as she ran a season-best time of 10:11.07 in the 3,000m event.
In eighth place, the 4x200 relay team of Mack,
Imagen Walters '26,
Juliette Sullivan '27, and
Rachel Masterson '26 crossed the finish line at 1:47.13. In ninth place, Simon, Walter, Smith, and
Margaret Stevens '27 ran a 9:49.37 in the 4x800 relay.
Fiona Carroll '25 tied for 12
th place in the pole vault, finishing with a 3.38m.
Sullivan and
Kate Hausladen '23 both placed 15
th in their respective events. Sullivan ran a 26.13 in the 200m, and Hausladen ran a season-best 1:43.97 in the 600m.
Stevens ran a season-best 5:15.56 in the women's mile race for a final placement at 19.
The Cardinals return to action on Saturday, March 2, at the Tufts Last Chance Meet in Medford, MA.
