Women’s hockey shut out on the road by No. 12 Colby, 2-0

WATERVILLE, ME. – The Wesleyan women's ice hockey team fell in NESCAC action on Friday night, 2-0, to No. 12 Colby College in just their first shutout of the season from Colby's Jack Kelly Rink.

Starting in goal, Rei Halloran'23 made a total of 37 saves for the Cardinals (11-7-3 overall, 6-5-2 NESCAC). Those 37 saves are just one save shy of her season-high 38 saves against Hamilton on Jan. 26.

Kennedy's first goal came in the second period with a little over 5 minutes remaining in the period. Kennedy's second goal was scored in the third period at 6:55.

While both the Cardinals and the Mules were called for two minor penalties apiece, both teams successfully killed each penalty.

Dylan Green '26 led the Cardinals with six shots on goal. Shannon Burke '25 led from the faceoff circle with five draw wins.

The Cardinals return to action on Saturday, Feb. 10, when they face Colby in the second of their weekend road series with puck drop at 3 p.m.
