SAN ANTONIO, TX – Max Litton '26 wins his second singles match of the season to open the Wesleyan men's tennis team's Spring Break trip to San Antonio, TX as Wesleyan fell to University of Incarnate Word 5-2 on Tuesday afternoon.
While Litton was the only singles victory through the afternoon, the Cardinals still picked up points during doubles play. The No. 1 pairing of
JT Bilski '26 and
Ben Mitchell '24 came away with a 7-5 win to boost the Cardinals early in the match.
Jex Frankel '27 and
Brian Lee '25 finished in a 6-4 win at No. 3. At No. 2, the Incarnate Cardinals defeated
Chase Kasday '26 and
Harry Collomb '26, 6-0.
Litton fell early in the match the other Cardinals took an early 3-6 set win in the No. 5 singles spot. In an attempt to garner points for Wesleyan, Litton came back and won set two 7-5 before fixing a win in the third set tiebreaker, 6-2.
The Incarnate Cardinals came away with wins at No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, No. 4, and No. 6 to finish off the afternoon.
The Cardinals return to action on Wednesday, March 13, when they face No. 13 Swarthmore at the Austin Tennis Academy in Austin, TX, beginning at 5 p.m.
