CORTLAND, N.Y. – Facing awful conditions with heavy rainfall throughout the weekend, the Wesleyan women's golf team managed a 10
th place finish out of 15 teams at the Martin & Wallace Invitational hosted by SUNY Cortland at the Cortland Country Club.
The tournament was shorted to a one-day 18-hole round on Sunday after Cortland was hit hard by rainfall on Saturday. More rain came in the afternoon on Sunday, affecting several golfers in the late stages of their rounds.
Wesleyan shot a 346 (+58) as a team on Sunday to finish in 10
th place. Williams won the invitational with a 297 (+9).
Mia Holbrook '27 and
Cecilia Roegner '27 led the Cardinals as both shot 85 (+13) on Sunday.
Mia Bardinelli '26 fired an 86 (+14) while
Kayla Howell shot 91 and
Jacqueline Neishabouri '25 carded a 92.
Wesleyan is back in action at Amherst next weekend for the Jack Leaman Invitational hosted at the Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Massachusetts.
