Wesley Abraham Earns Third Team All-American Honors

Abraham becomes just the fifth Cardinal in team history to earn multiple All-American honors

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - Wesleyan football's senior cornerback Wesley Abraham '25 earned Third Team All-American honors, as announced by D3football.com on Thursday morning. This marks Abraham's second career All-American nod as he was a Fourth Team selection in the 2024 season.

The two-time All-NESCAC and All-Region First Team pick, Abraham completes his Wesleyan career as one of the most-decorated players in team history. Teams shied away from the two-time All-American, as Abraham took away opposing team's top receivers all season, finishing the year with five pass breakups and one interception to go along with 21 tackles and one forced fumble. His interception came in the Week 1 win over Middlebury while he recorded three pass breakups in Week 2 against Tufts and two breakups in Week 5 against Colby. Abraham closed out his career with 27 consecutive starts at cornerback with six career interceptions and 24 passes defended in 31 career games.

Abraham joins an elite group, becoming the fifth Cardinal in team history to earn at least two career All-American nods. The list of multiple All-American picks includes Mat Perceval '00, John McVicar '78, Bob Heller '74, and Everett Bacon '13.
