WATERVILLE, Me. – The Wesleyan women's swimming & diving team competed against No. 21 ranked Colby College in a dual meet on Saturday afternoon. As a team, Wesleyan captured four first place finishes but fell to the Mules, 227-111, in the team scoring.
Ella Hall '28 dominated the diving events, capturing wins in both the 1m and 3m. She posted a score of 236.55 to place first out of four divers in the 1m and followed with a 219.53 to win the 3m later in the day.
Thisbe Diamond '28 was runner-up to Hall in both the 1m and 3m events, posting 202.80 and 172.58, respectively.
Olivia Stevenson '25 continued her breakthrough senior year with a win and two second place finishes in the distance events. Stevenson took first place in the 500 free, finishing in 5:19.83, while she was runner-up in the 200 free (1:59.22) and 1000 free (11:04.67).
Sara Bohacek '26 was the third Cardinal to take home a first place finish on the day as the junior took home a first place finish in the 200 breast (2:30.31) while also placing second in the 100 breast (1:09.19).
Other strong finishers on the day included
Izzy Paez '26 who was runner-up in the 50 fly (27.13), 100 fly (59.94), and 200 fly (2:14.27).
Mia Dezelic '27 placed second in the 200 back (2:10.35) and third in the 200 IM (2:18.27).
Ilaria Valentini '25 was third in the 100 fly (1:01.89).
Wesleyan is back in action on Saturday, February 1 with a trip to Connecticut College for a 1 PM start.
