CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Wesleyan women's crew team saw the varsity 8 place seventh-fastest among the 37 crews in the women's collegiate eights event at the Head of the Charles on Sunday morning, one of the largest regattas in the country. The 2
nd varsity 8 placed 15
th in the same competition.

Ruby Roberts '27 was the fifth-fastest boat to the riverside checkpoint in the opening stage of the race. Wesleyan kept hold of their fifth-place position at the midway point before falling back to seventh place over the second half of the race with a final time of 17:29.893. The two-time defending National Champion Tufts placed first while Williams, Tufts' B, Trinity, Smith, and Wellesley finished ahead of the Cardinals.
 
The Cardinals' 2V8 showed well, placing fourth-fastest among team's B or C boats in the field, with a final time of 17:55.535. The lineup of

Wesleyan also fielded a boat in the women's collegiate fours event with the team of

Taryn Myers '29, 
Grace Donfield '26, and 
Rebecca Lupkas '28 taking 22
nd place out of 40 boats with a time of 20:15.238.
 
The final race in the fall schedule is slated for Saturday at Worcester with the Wormtown Chase.
