BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Making the most of Saturday at the Paul Short Invitational, the Wesleyan women's cross country team made a strong showing in the women's 6K White race at Lehigh University, cracking the Top 20 amongst 45 teams as they were led by
Chase Cerrell '28 with a Top 50 performance.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Competing in the women's 6K Open and 6K White races, the Cardinals placed multiple runners with the highlight of the day coming from the 6K White. The Cardinals placed 13th of 45 teams while also placing 26th in a field of 38 in the Open class.
- Leading off, Chase Cerrell placed 21st of 404 runners in the 6K white as she clocked in a final time of 21:50.2.
- Placing 59th, Stephanie Ager '26 ran a 22:21.7 as the second-leading Cardinal in the event. At 72, Clare Mahedy '29 crossed the finish line at 22:31.9. Rounding out the Top 100 at 99, Sofia Magnera '28 ran a 22:47.1.
- In the women's Open class, Nadia Lim '26 placed at 148, finishing with a 23:24.1 out of a field of 442 runners. At 167, Audrey Leff '29 finished with a final time of 26:33.2.
The Cardinals return to action on Saturday, Oct. 18, as they take the next two weeks to prepare for the Conn. College Invite with action beginning at 10 a.m.
