Men’s Squash Defeated at Home by Conn. College, 5-4

 MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan men's squash team closed out the fall semester with a 5-4 loss to Connecticut College at home on Sunday morning. The Cardinals drop to 2-3 on the season while the Camels are now 2-3 on the year.

  • Wesleyan won three matches that required at least four games to complete, with Harrison Tillinghast '29 highlighting that group in a five-game thriller at #4 that lasted well over an hour against Noah Fish. Tillinghast triumphed 11-3, 5-11, 12-10, 10-12, 11-9 against his Camel counterpart to earn a hard-fought win.
  • Zach Lu '29 made quick work in a 3-0 win at #5 over Thomas Overton III, winning by a score of 11-4, 11-5, 11-8.
  • Matthyaz Williams '29 rolled in the third and fourth games in a 3-1 win at #6 over Andrew Nemphos, 11-6, 9-11, 11-5, 11-3.
  • Finn Goodson '29 recorded the fourth match win on the day for Wesleyan as he defeated Ward McGill 11-7 11-3, 10-12, 11-9 at #9.
Wesleyan has a month off before resuming competition at Bowdoin on Wednesday, January 7.
