MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Trailing 13-3 after suffering defeats in three of the first four bouts, the Wesleyan wrestling team came roaring back with wins in the final six bouts to defeat Centenary 29-13 on Saturday afternoon from Bacon Field House. Wesleyan completes the dual match season with a 9-3 record while Centenary finishes 7-9.
The Cardinals went behind with defeats at 125, 133, and 149, but the match took a sudden turn when
Kellen Horst '26 landed a pin at 157 to flip the momentum. Horst moved up a weight class with teammates injured and landed a decisive result, going on the offensive throughout his match against Miguel Lopez before landing the pin at 4:46.

CJ Shea '25 pushed Wesleyan out in front with a 17-2 tech fall victory at 165 over Mark Venson Jr. and his senior classmates at 174, 184, and 197 all came through with close decision victories to seal the win for the Cardinals.

Andrew Maiorini '25 started the string of decision wins that ultimately decided the match with a 10-7 victory at 174 over Hunter Cleaver.
Joe Colon '25 came through with a 11-7 win at 184 over TJ Pawlicki to put Wesleyan on the brink of clinching the win.
Aris Dashiell '25 landed the knockout blow, defeating Aaron Llanas by decision, 5-2, at 197 to put Wesleyan up by 10 points with one match remaining.
Will Orso '26 claimed the win by forfeit at 285, giving Wesleyan the 29-13 dual win.
