Cardinals Finish Season in 3-1 Road Loss at Trinity

HARTFORD, CT.  – The Wesleyan women's hockey team closed out the 2024-25 season on the road at Trinity College in a 3-1 loss, led by Dylan Green '26 from Trinity's Koeppel Community Center.

Capitalizing on Isabelle Allieri's '25 return to the ice following a two-minute minor penalty, the Cardinals shut down the Bantams' (10-12-1 overall, 7-8-1 NESCAC) hopes of a shutout as Allieri was able not only count as the Cardinals' extra skater but set up Dylan Green's power play goal with four minutes remaining in regulation. The Cardinals regained possession after Lillian Cassidy's attempt went wide and shouldered the attack in on Madeline Carter. The goal marked Green's team-leading sixth goal.

Prior to Green's third period goal, the Cardinals fell into a three-goal deficit as the Bantams were quickly outshooting the Cardinals 47-15. Gabriella Gross opened the scoring in the first period before Martina Exnerova posted a power play goal in the second. Elizabeth Winslow cleared the win with a third goal in the final regulation period.

Jenna Guglielmi '27 finished the afternoon with 44 saves while in goal for the Cardinals. She finishes the season 5-10-1, making 560 saves with a .943 save percentage. Carter earned the win for the Bantams with 14 saves.
