MEDFORD, MA. – Locking in for a full day of competition, the Wesleyan women's track and field team traveled to Tufts University for the Cupid Challenge and walked away with 11 Top 10 finishes as they were led by
Kate DiTullio '28.
Leading the way with two Top 10 finishes, DiTullio was the Cardinals representative in the field events, recording 4.58m in the long jump and followed that finish with another distance of 9.76m in the triple jump.
Kickstarting the day,
Julia Schoenbrodt '28 placed sixth in the women's 60m hurdles, running a 10.75.
Juliette Sullivan '27 crossed the finish line of the 400m with a final time of 1:01.49 for seventh place. Placing 10
th in the 600m,
Ellie Green '28 ran a time of 1:42.02. Another 10
th place finish went to
Bella Migliore '28 in the 800m, finishing at 2:29.51.
Genevieve Minard '28 began the distance events with the Cardinals' highest finish of the day, placing fourth in the 1000m, clocking in at 3:08.62, a new personal best. Following Minard in ninth,
Oona Vali '27 ran a 3:11.24.
Margaret Stevens '27 finished at six in the women's mile, crossing with a new personal time of 5:16.73. Following that performance,
Jordan Walter '25 ran the 3000m in 10:14.41, another personal time, and placed sixth as well.
Walter, Green,
Stella Loezos '27, and
Elanora Smith '27 combined for a new season best in the 4x400m relay, crossing the finish line with a 4:17.83 in seventh place.
The Cardinals return to action on Friday, Feb. 14, and Saturday, Feb. 15, when they travel to Boston University for the Valentine Invitational.
