BOSTON, MA. – The Wesleyan women's track and field team worked out another weekend of competition at the Track at New Balance, posting several Top 20 performances at the New England Division III Indoor Championships on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 28 through March 1, as they were led by sophomore
Juliette Sullivan '27.
Sullivan saw action on the track and in the field over the weekend as she walked away with top performances for the Cardinals. Racing in the 200m, Sullivan crossed the finish line at 15 and clocked in a final time of 25.37. Later in the day Sullivan competed in the women's long jump and placed 19
th, going for 4.61m.
The Cardinals saw two finishes in the indoor mile.
Jordan Walter '25 ran a 5:10.98 and placed 15
th and was followed in 17
th by
Virginia Lessner '28 with a final time of 5:12.44.
Alexandra Simon '27 was the lone Cardinal running in the 3000m and placed 18
th as she crossed the line at 10:30.03.
Sullivan and Walter combined forces with
Elanora Smith '27 and
Margaret Stevens '27 in the distance medley relay, placing third as the Cardinals combined on a 12:16.73 final time. In the 4x800 relay, Smith, Lessner,
Ellie Green '28, and
Stella Loezos '27 clocked a time of 9:35.95, earning seventh place.
The Cardinals return to action on Saturday, March 8, when they head to Tufts for the national qualifying meet.
