MIDDLETOWN, CT. – The sweeps keep coming. Now. 10-1 on the season, the Wesleyan women's tennis team has won 10 matches in a row as they pick up another 7-0 victory over Hamilton College on Saturday morning from the John Wood Memorial Courts.

Without dropping a set nor a match, the Cardinals cracked the first point of the morning after a full sweep of doubles. The No. 2 pairing of Jackie Soloveychik '27 and Natalia Leroy '28 posted a 6-0 defeat Priyanka Challapalli and Hannah Walpol. Lucinda Gatsiounis '28 and Alexandra Burnett '27 were paired once again as the No. 3 and put away a win over Shannon Cicero Muhan Cui, 6-1.

As the No. 1 doubles pairing in the Cardinals' lineup, Sarah Youngberg '26 and Lane Durkin '27 were taken to task by Hannah Apsey and Stephanie Pratt. The Continentals managed three, but the top duo stole the 6-3 victory.

Gatsiounis was the first singles point of the match as the No. 4. Facing Walpole, Gatsiounis allowed just one point and cleared the match with a 6-0, 6-1 final tally. Re-entering the lineup as the No. 6, Macie Carlos earned a win and a third point as she took Cicero to a 6-1, 6-2 defeat. Going toe-to-toe with Challapalli for a second time, Leroy posted a 6-2, 6-2 Cardinals win at No. 3.

Soloveychik was victorious at No. 1 as she was matched up with Apsey. Apsey managed three points in set one but was given little room in set two before Soloveychik was the winner at 6-3, 6-1.
