Fiona LaCamera Named NESCAC Player of the Week

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - Wesleyan volleyball senior middle Fiona LaCamera '27 was named NESCAC Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. This is LaCamera's first career Player of the Week nod.

In wins over Tufts and Bates, LaCamera averaged 2.57 blocks per set, 2.43 kills per set, and a .432 hitting percentage. The senior started with a career-high 14 kills on 22 swings with no attack errors, hitting .636, plus eight total blocks and three digs in a four-set win over Tufts. In the third and fourth sets, LaCamera blocked a Tufts attempt on set point, paving the way for Wesleyan's first win over Tufts since 2023. Against Bates, LaCamera registered 10 blocks, four digs, and three kills for her second 10+ block game of the season and the sixth of her career. Heading into this week, LaCamera leads the NESCAC in both hitting percentage (.410) and blocks per set (1.30).

The Cardinals (14-2, 7-2 NESCAC) travel to Smith and Coast Guard this weekend for a pair of road non-conference matches.
