Men's Cross Country

Cote Most Outstanding Performer, Mahoney All-NESCAC

MIDDLETOWN, CT. -  As announced by the conference office on Tuesday, Nov. 3, Wesleyan men's cross country junior Dylan Cote earns the 2026 NESCAC Most Outstanding Performer following his NESCAC Championship title victory. Cote and senior Noah Mahoney earn All-NESCAC honors with Top 14 finishes.

On Saturday, Oct. 31, Cote became just the second Cardinal to win the NESCAC Championship individual title, placing first with a near 13 second lead as he crossed the line at 24:31.08. Cote placed 20th in 2025. With the victory, Cote picked up First Team All-NESCAC honors for the first time in his career as well as the Most Outstanding Performer honor.

Cote joins Joseph Mahoney as the only Cardinals to win the NESCAC Championship race and claim top honors. Mahoney, a three-time champion, won in 1990, 1992, and 1993. Cote won all four races he competed in, running undefeated in the Little Three Championship, Cardinal Invitational, and the Conn. College Invitational.

Earning All-NESCAC Second Team honors for the second consecutive year is Noah Mahoney. Mahoney jumped four spots from 2025, placing 10th overall with a final time of 25:05.31 as he crossed the finish line. Mahoney is the first two-time All-NESCAC selection for the program since Skyler Cummins (2011, 2012).

The Cardinals prepare for the NCAA Mideast Regional race on Saturday, Nov. 14, in Manchester, CT.
