SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – The Wesleyan men's golf team competed in the 2026 Little Three Championship against Amherst and Williams in a full day event on Tuesday. The unique matchplay scoring tournament completed with Amherst and Williams splitting the Little Three title with the Cardinals finishing in third place.
The full day of golf opened in the morning with foursome matches that saw the Cardinals claim one win out of eight total pairings. The team of
Gavin Sendar '28 and
Jackson Hayes '27 took down Amherst's John Beskid and Paari Kaviyarasu by one hole after they played the full 18 holes.
Lev Abramson '28 and
Zach Liu '26 competed well against Amherst's team but ultimately lost 2 & 1.
Moving into the singles matches in the afternoon, Wesleyan earned a pair of wins over Williams and one win over Amherst.
Johnathan Harlukowicz '27 shined, sweeping both opponents, as he toppled Williams' Owen Barber by four holes and Leland Tsai of Amherst by two holes to land two points for the Cardinals. Sendar added another point to his day total, defeating Owen Nielson of Williams by one hole. Abramson showed well, falling by two holes against both opponents while Hayes and
Fisher Hirsch '26 lost by two holes against Williams golfers.
Next up for Wesleyan is the 2026 NESCAC Championship held at Fox Hopyard Golf Club in East Haddam, Connecticut from April 24-26 in a 54-hole tournament.
