Agnes Guggenheim and
Lara Afolayanka earn All-American honors as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Wednesday, June 3.
On May 21 the Cardinals closed a 23-2 overall season with a triumphant 4-1 victory over No. 3 WashU in the national finals, winning the program's second NCAA Division III National Championship title under the direction of first-year head coach
Steph Yanosov. The star-studded freshmen class stood strong against fellow ranked opponents and the success paid off with honors.
To earn ITA singles honors, players must be a top 8 seed in the NCAA singles tournament, win one round at the NCAA singles tournament, finish in the Top 20 in the final ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings, win the ITA Fall Regional Tournament, or win a first-round match at the ITA Cup.
Singles All-American
Agnes Guggenheim
Named the 2026 NESCAC Rookie of the Year, Guggenheim soared this season with a 20-9 overall singles record, ranked second among her teammates. Playing primarily at No. 2, Guggenheim ran an 11-5 record at the position and finished 5-1 when called upon to sit at No. 1. Guggenheim's 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 match-point victory in the national finals secured the 2026 title for the Cardinals.
Ranked 11
th in the nation, Guggenheim earns All-American honors with a Top 20 finish and a first-round victory over No. 8 Emily Kantrovitz of Emory. Entering the NCAA Individual Championship ranked 20
th, Guggenheim was quick to advance with a 6-4, 6-2 finish.
Lara Afolayanka
Finishing the season with a 17-6 overall record, Afolayanka earns her first All-American awards with a Top 20 finish ranked 13
th in the nation. Afolayanka served as the Cardinals' primary No. 3 and completed a 10-3 record in the position. Within the NESCAC, Afolayanka ran undefeated with a 9-0 finish.
Afolayanka was a 2026 Second Team Singles All-NESCAC selection and a First Team Doubles selection with Guggenheim. Afolayanka and
Kendall Smith finished the fall portion of the season as Northeast Regional doubles finalists and competed in the 2026 ITA Cup.
