Tom Miceli is a long-time Special Advisor to the program. An outstanding former player for the Cardinals, he also was a long-time coach of West Hartford American Legion baseball.

Tom was inducted into the Wesleyan Baseball Wall of Fame in 2017 for an outstanding career as a four-year starter for the Cardinals. A second-baseman, Tom led the team in hitting his senior year with a .352 average, and his Cardinal teams won both the Little Three and ECAC titles his junior year. As a senior, he won the MacNaughten Award for excellence in baseball. Both his sons played baseball at Wesleyan, with Tommy Jr. ’12 hitting a home run in his first career at-bat, and Nick ’17 being named All-NESCAC as a stand-out pitcher and catcher for the Cardinals.

Tom received his Ph.D. in Economics from Brown, and is a Professor of Economics at the University of Connecticut.
