A 2018 graduate of SUNY Geneseo, Fasanello started all three years for the Knights and served as team captain during her junior and senior seasons. She concluded her career ranked third in program history with 102 career points and 40 career goals, and ranked fifth in career assists. As a senior, she finished first on the team and second in the SUNYAC in points (39) and goals (16), and was first on the team in assists (7) en route to First Team All-SUNYAC honors.

During her junior season at SUNY Geneseo, Fasanello led the SUNYAC Conference in goals (18), points (48) and shots (127), and also ranked second in the league in assists. As a junior, Fasanello was named the SUNYAC All-Tournament Team MVP, a First Team All-SUNYAC selection, a First Team NFHCA Division III All-North Atlantic Region honoree, and an NCAA Division III Offensive Player of the Week.

Fasanello was also named a Second Team All-SUNYAC selection as a sophomore. She started all 19 games in 2015, scoring six goals and dishing out three assists.

Prior to SUNY Geneseo, the Clarence, N.Y. native played 18 games and made eight career starts for Central Michigan University, where she was named to the Division I National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Collegiate National Academic Squad.

In addition to her coaching duties, Fasanello is also pursuing a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (MALS) degree at Wesleyan.
