Zach was a 3-Sport athlete in high school, playing four years of Varsity Football, two years of Varsity Lacrosse, and two years of Varsity Golf in Los Angeles California. During Zach’s 4-year career at Sierra Canyon, the football team won 3 CIF championships and went to the State Championship 3 times. During his senior year, Zach was voted a captain by his teammates and coaches; he was also awarded Max Preps Defensive Player of the Game 4 times, was voted All-League 1st Team, All-Area 2nd Team, and has been inducted into the Sierra Canyon Football Hall of Fame as the “All-Time Team D-End.” He’s also incredibly proud that in his four years, his team went from Division 8 to Division 1, and now play against the very best football teams in the country. He is now singularly focused on helping take Wesleyan all the way to the NESCAC Championship this fall. In high school, Zach was on the Dean’s list and the Treasurer of the National Honor Society. He also received the Rensselaer Polytechnic Medal for excellence in Science and Mathematics. Still, he turned down this full scholarship to RPI because he wanted to play for Wes, Go Cards! He was also chosen as the NFF College Football Hall of Fame SF Valley Chapter’s Scholar-Athlete. Now at Wesleyan, Zach has become a Bill Belichick Scholarship recipient. He is thrilled that he can continue to play football and still develop as a student due to Wesleyan's academic preeminence. He’s currently double majoring in Economics and Psychology, working toward a data analysis certificationn, and is pursuing a career in the consulting field. He is on the Wesleyan Honor Roll and was inducted into the Omicron Delta Epsilon International Honor Society in Economics last semester. Zach can’t wait for the start of his Junior season, the Cardinals have unfinished business and are coming back with a vengeance.
