Kashif Moore begins his first season on the Wesleyan coaching staff in 2020 as the wide receivers coach.
“We are very excited to add Kashif Moore to our staff," said Head Coach Dan DiCenzo. "He was a great player and brings a wealth of knowledge at the wide receiver position. He is going to bring great value to our offense and he will be a great role model for our student-athletes. He is excited to be a part of the Wesleyan community and we are excited to have him with us.”
Moore, a 2011 University of Connecticut alum, played wide receiver for the Huskies from 2008-11. He was voted a team captain during his senior season and finished in the top-10 in program history in receptions. Moore also competed for UConn's indoor and outdoor track & field teams, and helped the Huskies win the Big East Championship in both indoor and outdoor seasons. Following graduation, Moore participated in the NFL combine and went undrafted in 2012, signing with the Cincinnati Bengals before signing contracts with the Indianapolis Colts, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Kansas City Chiefs.
After his playing career, Moore began coaching at Conard High School (West Hartford, Conn.) in 2019, where he joined his former UConn wide receivers coach, Matt Cersosimo.
A native of Burlington New Jersey, Moore played for Burlington Township High School where he earned All-Conference, All-South Jersey, and All-State in football and track.
