Wesleyan University

Peter Belmonte graduated from Wesleyan University in 2011 with a major in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry and completed the Graduate Liberal Studies Program at Wesleyan in 2014. He currently teaches Geometry and SAT Review at Xavier High School in Middletown, Conn. where he is also entering his sixth year as Head Crew Coach. Belmonte first started rowing in the fall of 2007 as a walk-on at Wesleyan, and started coaching with the program in the fall of 2016. He continues to compete as a single sculler on a national level and aspires to compete on the international level, and also to enter into high school administration and policy reform.
