Biography

Owen Verespy is from Lansdale Pennsylvania and attended North Penn High School. He competed in both football and wrestling in high school earning 100 career wins and qualifying for the state tournament twice as a wrestler. As an undergraduate, Owen majored in both psychology and government while also completing a minor in international relations. He was also a member of both the football and wrestling teams as an undergraduate at Wesleyan earning multiple honors for all academic teams in both sports. Owen decided to return to Wesleyan this fall to continue his education in Wesleyan's graduate of liberal studies program and continue his athletic career with the football team. On his decision to come back to Wesleyan Owen says “this team has become a second family for me, and I feel like we have unfinished business after last season so the decision to continue my academic journey at Wesleyan was easy.” After completing graduate school, Owen hopes to work as a school psychologist and pursue his passion for athletics through coaching the next generation.
