Kaitlyn Hebert Headshot 2021-22

Kaitlyn Hebert

Kaitlyn Hebert is back with the Wesleyan cross country/track & field coaching staffs for her fifth season in 2025-26. She works as an assistant with both cross country teams and is a distance coach for the track & field program.

Hebert is not new to the coaching profession as the recent graduate of Quinnipiac University, having spent the 2020-21 season as a volunteer assistant coach for the cross country/track & field teams at UConn. In her role, she communicated with student-athletes, other coaches and recruits about school and program updated while she took part in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes. She was tasked with producing social media content, helped maintain equipment and facilities to health and COVID-19 related standards and assisted in planning multiple team travel needs. The UConn coaching staff was acknowledged as the 2021 BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year award as the Huskie men won the 2021 BIG EAST title while the women finished runner-up.

Prior to her time at UConn, Hebert spent the 2019-20 season pursuing her master’s degree and as a student-assistant coach with the cross country/track & field programs at Quinnipiac. Her main role was to organize practices, assist in student-athlete development in cross country, mid-distance, distance and javelin disciplines, worked with the athletic training staff to ensure proper student-athlete safety and communicated with administration on meet and specific team needs.

As an undergrad with the Bobcats, Hebert spent the spring 2018 season as the track coach for Amity Middle School. In her first official coaching position, Hebert created workouts to engage students in exercise and gain a variety of different event management skills. Her motivational work with students provided a respectful and fun environment for the 2018 campaign.

Hebert was a four-year contributor on the Quinnipiac cross country and track & field programs, graduating in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Hebert was honored as the MAAC Cross Country Runner of the Week once in her junior year. She continued postgraduate studies at Quinnipiac, earning her master’s degree in teaching, specifically elementary education.
